           Fancy felines from around the country will compete for Top Cat status at the 51st Annual CFA cat show sponsored by the Greater Baton Rouge Cat Club, Inc. in conjunction with The Ragamuffin Cat Society. There will be 6 independent judging each day. Judging is on going all day each day to see each judge award their best of each category.

            More than 200 purebred cats are expected to compete in this year’s show.  Many beautiful breeds and household pets are on the list of competitors including the Birman and Chartreux, as well as some of the more well-known purebreds, from Siamese to Persian.

            The CFA cat show will be open to the public and will provide an entertaining day for all spectators.  In addition to the judging activities, which will take place throughout the show, spectators will have the opportunity to see cats “up close and in the fur” while they’re waiting to compete.  Owners are happy to answer any questions about their cats and many of them will offer kittens for sale. 

            Household pets will compete this year in a special class all their own. The highest scoring HHP will be awarded on Sunday after all the judging is completed.  In the middle of the day each day, there will be a special "cat costume contest" where cats will be presented in their 'gala' to compete for special prizes. The top 3 costumed will be awarded each day.

            There will be a coloring contest as well. Have the kids absorb the day drawing their best. Awards will be given after the show is over. No need to be present.

             A wonderful raffle of awesome items. Again no need to be present It will be drawn on Sunday afternoon.

             Onsite cat adoptions will be available and take interested adoptees by local feline rescue organizations.
