THE CAT
SHOW
SHOW HOURS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:
9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Fancy felines from around the country will compete for Top Cat status at the 50th Annual Golden Anniversary CFA cat show sponsored by the Greater Baton Rouge Cat Club, Inc.
More than 200 purebred cats are expected to compete in this year’s show. Many beautiful breeds and household pets are on the list of competitors including the Birman and Chartreux, as well as some of the more well-known purebreds, from Siamese to Persian.
The CFA cat show will be open to the public and will provide an entertaining day for spectators. In addition to the judging activities, which will take place throughout the show, spectators will have the opportunity to see cats “up close and in the fur” while they’re waiting to compete. Owners are happy to answer any questions about their cats and many of them will offer kittens for sale.
Household pets will compete this year in a special class all their own. In the middle of the day, there will be a special "cat costume contest" where cats will walk the runway to compete for special prizes. Onsite cat adoptions will be available by local feline rescue organizations.
